Not all questions require a tutor to answer them. We’ve compiled a list of some commonly asked questions about Ruru and using our apps.
Can you explain pricing?
Yes, the pricing is arranged into tiers based on the skill level of the tutors. 75% of the tutoring fee will go to tutors while 25% will go to Ruru.
What is your refund policy?
A refund will not be given under any circumstance. If you didn’t enjoy your session, we encourage you to leave a rating and comment about your tutoring experience so that we can address it.
How do I know that my children are safe?
All Ruru tutors go through an approval process to obtain access to the Tutoring App. RuruPlus and RuruPro tutors go through a background check.
Who would you recommend use Ruru tutoring?
At this time, the topics that we offer tutoring in are reflective of a high school student’s coursework. As a result, we recommend Ruru tutoring be used by high school students.
Can I tip my tutors?
Students will not be able to tip their tutors.

How old do I have to be to tutor?
You must be at least 16 years old to qualify for RuruOne and 18 years or older to qualify for RuruPlus or RuruPro.
How do I become a tutor for Ruru?
All of our tutors will go through an approval process. RuruPlus and RuruPro tutors will go through a background check.
How much does a tutor make on each session?
You’ll make 75% of the tutoring fee for each session you do. The other 25% will go to Ruru.
Do I need a degree to tutor for Ruru?
RuruPlus and RuruPro tutors are required to have degrees or teaching experience. RuruOne tutors are not required to have a degree to tutor for Ruru.
